About the author: Pamela J. Hinds

Born in Pennsylvania, Ms. Hinds has lived in Georgia, Hawaii, and Minnesota. Ms. Hinds has worked for several doctors as a Medical Assistant, and Medical Office Manager.   She also has studied Computer Programming and has owned and operated her own computer service in Pinellas County, Florida for the past 22 years.  Due to the rising cost of health care and insurance, Ms. Hinds feels that by becoming an informed patient, we can make better health care decisions and work together to accomplish a desirable outcome from a medical illness.  This booklet has been written for enlightenment, is not all inclusive, and not intended to negate the medical profession, but rather to help in a patient's medical care and recovery.
